Let us welcome you to the farm for an educational stroll through the roses celebrating our 25th anniversary! We are keeping the groups small so that you have plenty of opportunity to ask questions and smell the roses! Tours will conclude with a light tea time in our formal garden. 

Rose Story Farm® began in 1998, when we decided to try growing 1000 rose bushes on a half acre of our lemon and avocado farm. We imagined an old-fashioned rose farm, with the radiant hues of European and pre-1950 American varieties in bloom across our 15 acre Carpinteria Valley farm. Our mission has been, from the very first day, to produce beautiful, fragrant, romantic roses in exquisite shapes and colors. We are dedicated to producing the highest quality roses in our gardens, and Rose Story Farm now grows 30,000 rose bushes, with over 130 varieties. 25 years later, we are delighted to celebrate the fact that we are still growing roses and loving roses and sharing roses with all of our family and friends!

NURSERY SALE

Keep an eye on Instagram and our website for updates on our next Nursery Sale dates and times. We will have a variety of roses, perennials and more to choose from, as well as an incredible team to help you select the best plant for your garden. Any gardening tools, soils and fertilizers will also be available for purchase for your gardening needs! 

45 min lecture, followed by one-on-one instruction with lunch provided after.

Learn how to properly prune your roses, with a hands-on class. Each participant will be assigned a rose plant from our nursery. Dani and our team will guide you through the process. Bring your own clippers and gloves, or you can purchase them here at the farm. All nursery plants and garden tools will be offered at discounted prices.

I promise that you will not leave the farm without being able to perfectly prune a rose.. this is one on one instruction with our team. Btw, we prune over 60,000 plants per year both in our garden and the various gardens we care for, & have been doing so for 25 years!! We have learned to be quick and efficient and after these sessions, you will be too!! Come join us for a fun morning of roses and conversation, followed by lunch in the garden! Classes are strictly limited in size so that each of you will receive all the instruction you need to be a pro rose grower!

What a night! 🌹✨ It is hard to put into words the beauty and joy felt at our Pop-Up Floral Design event. We tasked some of our favorite local designers with decorating rooms in our Country House in their own unique style, and the results speak for themselves! The passion and love for floral design was overflowing, and we can’t thank the designers and attendees enough for creating an unforgettable evening. All proceeds from this event benefited @CasadelHerrero, and guests were treated to a musical surprise from @dorothygal and @geoffhahn!

We opened the doors to our Country House to showcase the work of some of our favorite local floral designers, including @wendyfostermontecito, @toastsantabarbara, @emmarosefloral, @jennchezdesign, @loriastern, @hoguefloral, @cocorosedesign, @camelliafloraldesign, @hauteblossomsfloral, @bright_floral, @hollyflorala, @ojalafloral, @creativelightdesign, @breannajanebotanicals, and @gardenclubofsantabarbara. Each designer chose a room to decorate that reflects their own style, flare, and inspiration. All of them created by hand; all of them unique! 

We can’t mention this event without sending a special thank you to our friends at @florabundanceinc. Their generous donation allowed our artists to have complete creative freedom. And the results, as we can witness, were absolutely over the top!
